Your First Visit
Welcome to Narberth Allergy and Asthma. We are glad you made an appointment with us, and will do our best to make you feel better! For your first appointment, please allow about an hour of time. If you are bringing (small) children, you may want to bring toys, snacks or other options for distraction and entertainment. If you are coming in for allergy testing, please avoid taking any medications containing antihistamines for 4 days prior to your appointment. These medicines include Claritin (loratadine), Allegra (fexofenadine), Zyrtec (cetirizine), Xyzal (levocetirizine), benadryl (diphenhydramine), Atarax (hydroxyzine), Astelin or AstePro (azelastine), Patanol/Pataday/Patanase (olapatadine), and others. Sometimes, cold medicines and eye drops contain antihistamines. If you are unsure, please check with us. If you are unable to discontinue your antihistamines, we will be able to work with you and defer testing to a later point in time. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
