Dr. Bowser has been supporting girls' basketball for many years. She is coaching a Main Line Girls Basketball Associating (MLGBA) travel team and is a sponsor for a MLGBA high school team. "it's a chance for me to do something I love while giving back to the community, supporting healthy life style and physical activity for girls". Both her daughters also play basketball competitively. Dr. Bowser believes that exercise is very important in patients with asthma. "Exercising the lung leads to improved lung function. Nowadays there are so many good asthma treatments available that well-controlled patients should even be able to compete at high levels according to their general athletic ability".
